Company Profiles

Owner: Josh Edlow

The SWF is the brainchild of Sacramento native, Josh Edlow. Josh first stepped into a wrestling ring at the age of seventeen, but his passion for sports-entertainment really began at four-years-old. It was then, at the Arco Arena, where he saw the British Bulldogs wrestle The Dream Team in a steel cage. He instantly fell in love with the art of professional wrestling.

Thirteen years later, Josh got the chance to pursue his dream. He began his journey at Pro I Am Wrestling School where he trained under former professional wrestling champion, Paul Demarco and “Old School” Oliver John. Shortly after beginning his training, Pro I Am Wrestling closed its doors. Determined to continue, he began training on a mattress in his backyard. Somehow, the local media caught wind and began running special interest stories on his unique training method. This media attention led to Josh’s professional wrestling debut at the Colonial Theater. Since that time, Josh has been featured on KCRA 3, NEWS 10, KTXL FOX 40, Good Day Sacramento, CBS 13, the Sacramento Bee, KWOD 106.5, and other newspapers and web blogs across the country. He has also participated in various professional wrestling projects including appearing in the full length feature film “Backyard Dogs.”

At the age of nineteen, Josh decided to put his wrestling dream on hold and pursue religious and educational goals. He volunteered to serve as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. While serving in Indiana, he oversaw as many as twenty-four missionaries and worked with local church and government leaders to provide service projects for underprivileged families.

Upon his return, Josh began pursuing educational goals at American River College in Carmichael, California. There he worked through the community college system and transferred to California State University Sacramento where he graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Arts in Government. He then accepted an invitation to attend the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law as a Barrister’s Scholar. In May of 2012 he graduated from the McGeorge J.D. program with a concentration in business and a certificate in Trial Advocacy.

In addition to his educational accomplishments, Josh has achieved many honors in the corporate world. While going to school full time, he also worked full time as a Sales Manager for a local retail corporation. There he received over thirty awards in sales and management including Salesman of the Year from 2005 to 2007, Manager of the Year 2006 and 2007, and Store of the year 2006 and 2007.

Despite his many accomplishments, Josh considers his greatest to be within the walls of his own home. In June of 2004 he married his wife Chandra. Since that time, they have worked hard raising their three children.

Now, with strong ties to the Sacramento community, Josh Edlow has decided to rekindle his wrestling prowess to help local youth programs. “This is my home, and this community has been so supportive of me throughout my life, that it is time for me to give back.” In 2011, the Sacramento Wrestling Federation began bringing this unique fundraising opportunity to local charitable organizations in California’s capital city. Since that time they have expanded this vision to other cities in the state of California. “We are excited to bring an innovative, fun filled, action-packed event that will draw the masses and bring much needed attention and funds to ailing youth programs.”
